Make plans today to join MARRCH colleagues for two days of collaborative learning with Dr. Robert Karol, Psychologist, PhD, LP, ABPP, CBIST.  This learning adventure is set in the relaxing North Woods of Minnesota at the historic Grand View Lodge – April 26-27, 2018.

Dr. Karol’s presentation is titled:  The Challenge of Behavioral Dyscontrol After Brain Injury:  What Works, What Doesn’t and How to Write Effective Treatment Plans that Do!  Over two-days, participants will learn how to describe factors that drive behavior, explain four treatment methods and understand how to write personalized treatment plans.

Day one starts with Dr. Karol discussing the cognitive and emotional drivers of behavioral dyscontrol after brain injury, traditional intervention methods – counseling, skill building, contingencies, followed by a presentation of Neuropsychosocial Intervention (an innovative method for when traditional interventions fail.)

Day two continues with Dr. Karol leading participants through a step-by-step treatment planning process in which they learn to write individualized treatment plans.  (Participants should have comprehensive information about a behavioral case of theirs to utilize in writing a treatment plan.)
